DARLENE SCHULTZ
Darlene Schultz, B.S.
Darlene Schultz is a 35-year veteran elementary school teacher in Canyon’s School District. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah in 1982. In addition to teaching first grade, Darlene has also spent many years tutoring students in grades 1-4 in reading literacy, math and writing.
She earned her ESL Endorsement through Canyons School District in 2011. She is currently working on a certification in Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning and discipline.
Darlene is also a volunteer for the organization Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA), where she has volunteered weekly since 2010 as a family support facilitator. This role provides Darlene the opportunity to teach families behavioral and motivational strategies for interacting with their loved ones struggling with a substance use disorder.
